INCLEMENT WEATHER RULES

The Simple Rule: If Montgomery County Schools are closed at noon because of inclement weather, there will be no BSC meeting that day.

Want to become a member? Annual dues are for the period of July 1 to June 30 and are $20 / single or $30 / couple. (Application for membership may be found below, right.) Members in good standing (dues are current) enjoy the following benefits:

right to attend all luncheon meetings
first choice for special events sponsored by the Club (golf tournament, bus trips, banquets, tour of facilities, etc.)
right to participate in weekly Pick-the-Winner contests, at no charge, competing for weekly and seasonal prizes
right to "advertise" for tickets (sell or purchase) through the exclusive Sports Club listserv

NOTE: To advertise your tickets (sales or wanted), please do the following:

Send to: sportsclub@listserv.bburg.bev.net

On "subject" line, state "for sale" or "wanted", for which game, number of tickets, e.g.,

For Sale, three tickets to Duke game, or
Wanted, two tickets to UVA game

In body of message, give name and contact information (how you want to be contacted, either by email or by phone) for interested parties to use.

The secretary will check each submission to ensure that only members are allowed to post. If your dues are not current, your message will be rejected.

Custom Catering is THE place to be for lunch on Wednesday! Food service begins around 11:30 am, the meeting begins at noon, our speaker is introduced at 12:30 pm, and we adjourn at 1:00 pm.

David Crist Field

On October 3, 2009, David Crist was recognized for his 35 years of service to the Blacksburg Community. (See video on "BHS" webpage.)

The Blacksburg Sports Club adds its congratulations to the many others which David has received, and says, "Well done thy good and faithful servant!"

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to everyone who is interested in Blacksburg High School and / or Virginia Tech athletics. Members are welcome to bring guests, but it is expected that people who attend "several meetings" would become members and help us to support the athletic departments of our two institutions.

Annual dues are only $20 / single or $30 / couple, for the fiscal year July 1 to June 30.
